2023 Thames Valley Chess Championship
Hi all the second ever over the Board Thames Valley Chess Championship will be run on Saturday the 15th April 2023 the Venue is the St James Hall behind the beautiful St James Church off Pollen street Thames.
The 2023 Thames Valley Chess Championship is still for Youth, Juniors, and Seniors this year it will cost (to cover Hall hireage, Arbiter cost and Trophies and Prizemoney) $20 for Seniors to enter (over 18 as at 1 January 2023) and $10 to enter for the Junior`s ( aged from 13 to 18 as at 01 January 2023) and $5 to enter for the Youth Players ( aged 12 and under as at 01 January 2023) we will have Trophies for the Winners of each section as well 1st,2nd and 3rd placegetters within each of the Youth, Junior and Senior sections will receive Prizemoney. Prizemoney however entirely dependent on the number of entries received.
Entries will close on the 31st March 2023.
All players must be committed to being in the Tournament Hall from 9am to 5.00pm as below.
Most Importantly Players need to be in the St James Hall at 9am sharp because our International Arbiter (Bruce)will be outlining the playing process and Chess Rules for the day.
Same Rules apply as this years Tournament including only Thames Valley residents on the day of the Tournament can win Titles and Trophies non residents can only win Prizemoney.
